Quilt Winner
Congratulations to Larry Shepard the winner of the quilt. The quilt raffle raised $233.00 which will go to the Board of Education for the new Weekday School text books “Living in Christ.”

Ladies Aid Picnic
The Ladies Aid will be having their picnic on Thursday, August 2 at noon at the Open Shelter House at Lake Wazeecha. Please bring a dish to pass. All ladies of the congregation are invited.
Neighborhood Table
The Neighborhood Table is a Community based group of people, of all faiths, working together to help our hungry neighbors.
The Neighborhood Table serves approximately 500 hungry people in our community each Thursday at St. John Episcopal Church, located across from the Post Office.
The Ladies Evening Guild is coordinating the meal on August 2 and is asking members of St. John Kellner to assist in serving 500 hungry friends and neighbors in the Wisconsin Rapids area community.
Items still needed include 5# donations of ground beef made in to Bar-B-Que, Desserts (bars, brownies, cookies or cake) or cash donations to purchase items to complete the meal. Help is also needed on the day of the event. Sign up sheets are in the Narthex. If you have any questions please call Judy Shepard 423-2071 or Bonnie James 421-0559.
Cookout at Copp’s
Evening Guild will be having a cookout at Copp’s on Saturday, August 4 at 10 AM. Your support is appreciated!

Potluck Reception for Borchards
On Sunday, August 12 at the 9:30 AM service we will be welcoming our missionaries Pastor Terry Borchard and his wife Janet. As Lutheran Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea they are currently working on the translation of the New Testament in the Ipili language. Now on furlough they have graciously accepted our invitation to visit.
After the 9:30 AM service the Evening Guild and Ladies Aid are planning a potluck reception. Please bring a dish to pass and join us for this special Sunday service and reception.
Evening Guild Guest Speaker
All members of the congregation are invited to join us at our Evening Guild Meeting on Thursday, August 23 at 7 PM. Sarah Nordhaugen will share her mission experiences.

Kid’s in Christ Kingdom Family Night
It’s time again for Kid’s in Christ Kingdom. We would like to welcome all new and returning students. Please join us for Family Night on September 5, 2007. We will be serving dinner from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM. Following will be a brief welcome, introduction of teachers and fellowship.
Reminder to parents: registration and medical forms need to be signed. The Weekday School Handbook will be handed out to all students and Behavior Contracts will be handed out to all those in 3 rd-7 th grades.
The Board of Education is also looking for two more members to serve with us. If you have a passion for the education of others, please contact one of the board members (Karen Ross 421-2970, Kylie Swen 325-2229 or Colleen Vukosich 424-2584).
YOUTH WORK NIGHT
When: Wednesday, August 15 at 7 PM
Where: “The Gathering Place”
The youth group will be having a work night and snacks. The youth advisory committee is encouraged to attend so we can plan activities.

YOUTH CRYSTAL RIVER CANOE TRIP
When: We will leave after church on Sunday, August 26.
Cost: $10.
