Beach Trek Vacation Bible School June 19-23 Please register. If you are in need of busing to VBS register by June 5 th! Beach Trek’ers will be asked to bring a white plain 100% cotton T-shirt for a craft project as well as a water bottle and apply sunscreen on before leaving for the morning. Weather permitting we will be outside like last year. Questions call Sandra Sweeney 886-4864. Door OfferingAfter the services on June 3 & 4 there will be a door offering for Camp Luther’s 60 th Anniversary.

Gradutate Recognition SundayPlans are being made to recognize our graduates at the 9:30 AM service on June 11. Parents please call the church office with name of student and High School. College/University Graduates please call with your name, name of school and degree. Graduates are invited to wear their caps and gowns and will be recognized for their achievements. Surprise Recogniton PlannedOn June 12 at the North Wisconsin District Convention in Appleton Rev. Arleigh Lutz will be recognized and thanked for his 21 years of faithful service to the District as its president. The North Wisconsin District Board of Directors is inviting you to participate in this event by sending a note, card, letter, gift, or other well-wishes to him for presentation at the gathering. Church PicnicCome and attend this year’s church picnic to be held June 25, 2006 at the Red Sands Beach (Large shelter house). This year will feature the Vacation Bible School children during our service. Service time will be at 10:30 AM with dinner being served at approximately 11:30 AM. The menu will be hamburgers, brats and hot dogs. Each family is asked to please bring a large dish to pass and their own plates and silverware. There will be lots of activities including, children’s games, adult bingo and a cakewalk. Cake donations will be greatly appreciated. So come on a “BEACH TREK” and worship with us. This year’s free will donation will be going towards Sarah Nordhaugen’s trip to China. She will be teaching English through an organization called Educational Service International. ESI is an openly Christian organization that has sent teachers to China for over twenty years. This year we will have camping at the Larry & Judy Shepard cottage on the Wisconsin River. They are located at the corner of County Trunk “U” and Biron Drive. If you wish to camp or just come out for a potluck on Saturday and a campfire see Larry or Judy Shepard.
Reflection BrunchPlanning is now under way for the Reflection Brunch which will be held on Sunday, July 16 at the 9:30 am service. We will be honoring all of our members who have reached the age of 80 years or more. If anyone has turned 80 and is not on this list, please call the church office as soon as possible. Point Basse Pioneer FestivalHelp Wood County celebrate it”s 150th Birthday!!! Join the Citizens of Point Basse as they celebrate with their annual Pioneer Festival at their site on County Highway Z near Nekoosa on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11. There will be food, entertainment, craft sale and displays as well as canoe rides on the river and characters in historic costumes. The hours are from 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. Admission is $5.00 per adult, $2.00 per student, with a maximum of $20.00 per family.
