Mother's Touch
The Mother’s Touch program this year will send boxes to mother’s in Vietnam. A sample box will be in the narthex. The Ladies Evening Guild asks that you please consider bringing a needed item along with you when you come to worship or when you come to the Mother-Daughter Banquet. Items collected this year include:
- Four plastic drinking tumblers (all the better if they fit into one another)
- Pair of sewing scissors
- Kitchen towel
- Nail clippers
- Small mirror
- Two combs (one fine-toothed, one broad-toothed)
- Hairbrush (for long, relatively coarse hair)
- Adult toothbrush
- Tube toothpaste (6 oz.)
- Three bars of deodorant soap such as Zest or Crest 4.5 oz.
- Bottle of shampoo 14-16 oz. (place in Ziploc bag)
- $2 gift will purchase each mother one vinyl rain cape
Donations may be brought in through May 15. Thanks for making these boxes a success.
Mother-Daughter Banquet May 11
The Mother-Daughter Banquet will be May 11 at 6 pm. Tickets will be available after church services on May 7 & 8 and at the door. Adults-$5.00, Children (12 & under) $2.50, Under 5 free. The Entertainment will be a Gospel Quartet from Immanuel. Please consider bringing along an item for the Mother’s Touch Project.

Please keep them in your prayers, set good examples for them, nourish their souls, and care about them as they proceed to adulthood. We are happy and proud to have them as fellow members in the Body of Christ. May the Peace of the Lord abide with each of them and their families.
Special Meeting May 19
St. John Lutheran Church will have a special meeting May 19 at 7:00 pm in our church sanctuary. All members are encouraged to attend and participate.-The Call Committee
Evening Guild Cookout May 27
Evening Guild will be having a cookout at Wal-mart on May 27 starting at 10 am. Your support is appreciated!
Human Care Ministry
For the months of April and May we will be collecting the following items for The Family Center:
- Disposable diapers (all sizes)
- Baby wipes
- Plastic food storage bags (all sizes)
- Fabric softener sheets
A basket will be provided in the Narthex for your contributions.
