About the Church

Joining St. John

Children join through confirmation after completing the Kids in Christ's Kingdom Program.
All adults attend the 8 week "New Life in Christ" Class. Other New Life (small group) studies are offered for education, fellowship, and enrichment.

We are part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, a denomination of over 2 1/2 million members. The L.C.M.S. is committed to proclaiming historic Lutheran doctrine in the contemporary world.

Education

Weekday School for children age 4 through grade 8 meets Wednesdays from 6:30 PM until 7:45 PM. A vacation Bible School Program is offered for one week in the summer.

Adult Bible Study

Various Adult Bible Studies are held during the year. Several groups meet at different times and places. Watch the bulletin and newsletter for information.

Holy Communion

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend of each month and at special services.

Bible-Based Christ Centered

The Lutheran Church teaches on the basis of the Bible as God's own inspired Truth, that Jesus Christ, true God and perfect Man, assumed the guilt of all people, paid for the sins of all by His innocent death on the cross, and rose again for the justification of all before God, and to give life to all who believe in Him as Savior and Lord.

We Believe

• Man by nature is in bondage, slave to sin.
• God's love caused Him to send Jesus.
• Jesus freed us by His death and resurrection.
• By the power of the Holy Spirit we have new life through faith.
• We have dedicated our lives to Him and we wait for His return.
